RUSSIAN CASED ICON OF CHRIST PANTOCRATOR, SILVER OKLAD, C 1900 H 15.5", L 14.2"
Probably originating from the Kiev region, circa 1896-1908. The icon with hand-painted face and hands, encased by a repoussed and chased silver and gilt raza, and housed in an ebony and giltwood case. The hallmarks include an unknown maker's mark and the mark "875" for silver. The icon measuring 10 1/2" x 8 3/4".
