FRENCH BRONZE & MARBLE PEDESTALS, 19TH.C. PAIR, H 48", L 10", D 10"
One pedestal has an angled crack all the way around the column, and this crack has multiple areas of filler in it. There is a second thin crack above it which only goes half way around the column. The pedestal's base has chips to each corner, most measuring approx. 1". These corner chips have what appears to be a a light green filler over them. There are also chips to the edges of the base, the largest measuring approx. 1". The top of the pedestal has nicks and chips to the edges. The largest chip to the top is at the bottom edge and measures approx. 2 1/2". The bronze shows areas of oxidation.
The second pedestal has an area of filler at the base of the column, and there is a repair across the top. This pedestal also has chips and nicks to the base, but they are not as noticeable as the other pedestal's chips. There are chips and nicks to the top of the pedestal, the largest measuring approx. 1". The bronze shows small areas of oxidation.
