WINCHESTER MODEL 1866 "YELLOW BOY" LEVER-ACTION SADDLE RING CARBINE, .44 CAL., 1882, L 20" BARREL, SN 158341

Serial number of 158341 dates this firearm to 1882. Distinctive brass frame with a round barrel marked "Winchester's Repeating Arms New Haven CT. King's Improvement Patented March 2_ 1866 October 16 1880". Full-length magazine under the barrel. Having a saddle ring, notched front sight and adjustable rear sight.

Pitting to the barrel. Ranges on the adjustable rear sight are no longer visible due to pitting of the metal. Areas of scratching and gouging to the frame (see additional photos). Wood split at the end of the foregrip. Some chipping and splitting to the foregrip where it meets the frame. Some nicks and scratches to the wood stock, possibly refinished. Action is functioning.
